Sylvia Leong

I believe every person has a unique story to tell. My passion is in helping students and professionals find their voice and share their story with admissions committees and recruiters.

My 20+ years in graduate admissions and corporate recruitment have given me keen insight into what makes an applicant stand out. As former Senior Associate Director for University of Southern California’s MBA program, I've reviewed thousands of applications and conducted hundreds of interviews for admission. As Director of Admissions at Carnegie Mellon University’s Silicon Valley campus I designed and implemented an admissions process for the campus and worked with faculty to admit a diverse class each year. As a freshman reader for UC Berkeley, I have a keen understanding of the UC admissions process and what makes a strong application. As a corporate recruiter in financial services, I screened, interviewed and hired applicants for analyst and line management positions. 

With a degree in Communications, my gift is in helping people express their backgrounds, experiences and qualifications in a compelling manner. I love meeting new people and helping them draw out their own story.
